Perennial, short, 1 – 2 ft., sub-shrub found in many western states. Drought-tolerant, adapted to all soil textures, 5 – 15 inch precip. zones. Saline and alkali-tolerant. Found in the desert shrub communities at low to mid-elevation. Similar to Gardner Saltbrush and Tridentata Saltbrush. Good forage for both wildlife and livestock and good habitat for wildlife. Useful Saltbrush for revegetation of adapted sites. Plant in fall ¼ – ½ inch deep. 110,000 seeds/lb.
