 Grass-like, tufted, perennial, wetland species with short-rhizomes 1 – 3 ft. tall. Thrives in many wetland type areas including saline and alkali sites from low to high elevations. Grows on all soil texture types. Low palatability for wildlife and livestock but good wildlife habitat species component. Used for restoration of wetland sites. Plant fall or spring ¼ inch deep. 360,000 seeds/lb.
