Perennial, 1 – 2 ft. tall, rhizomatous, wetland grass-like species distributed throughout all of the US in typical wetland type habitats. Grows on all soil textures. Low palatability to livestock and good habitat for wetland associated species of wildlife. Valuable for wetland and riparian sites restoration.
