Perennial, 1½ – 2½ ft. tall. Blooms in summer with deep-blue to purplish flowers. Adapted to Rocky Mountain area. Grows native on open slopes, in aspen stands and in meadows from foothills to sub-alpine. Semi-evergreen, palatable forage. Low to moderate water requirements. Likes full-sun or partial-shade. Useful in range and wildlife improvement projects, disturbed site revegetation and wildflower mixes. Plant in fall ¼ – ½ inch deep. 290,000 seed/lb.
