The second most robust of the Sandberg Bluegrass complex. Perennial, 2 – 3 ft. tall, cool-season, bunchgrass. Greens up early and matures early like others of this complex. Good early forage for wildlife and livestock and good habitat for wildlife including nesting birds. Does best on medium texture soils. Plant in spring or fall, ¼ inch deep. 900,000 seeds/lb.

Named Release: ‘Opportunity’ (Selected Class) Germplasm released in 2008 from the Bridger, MT PMC is the first Nevada Bluegrass release. The original collection came from near Anaconda, MT. Ecotype is a more robust, taller, more productive, later maturing type. Best adapted to 2,000 – 6,500 ft. elevation in the 10 – 18 inch precip. zones.
