Medium height, 2 – 3 ft. tall, perennial, drought-tolerant, warm-season bunchgrass.  Best adapted to sandy soils but also grows on medium textures.  Fairly palatable forage in late spring, early summer when green and for standing winter forage.  Used for soil stabilization and wildlife habitat improvement.  Minimum precip. is 8 – 10 inches.  Plant in late summer ¼ inch deep. 5,3000,000 seeds/lb.
