Short, 6 – 12 inches, perennial, stoloniferous, creeping, nitrogen-fixing legume. Adapted to a wide range of soils. Moderately tolerant of saline, alkaline, and wet soil conditions. Useful for reclamation of wet, saline sites, erosion control, and in lawn and pasture mixtures. Minimum precip. is 15 -18 inches. Plant fall or spring ¼ – ½ inch deep. 300,000 seeds/lb.

Named Releases: ‘Palestine’ More winter-hardy type, better adapted to higher elevation uses.

‘O Conners’ Low growing, lower water use, alkali tolerant form.
