Penstemon speciosus,
Showy or Sagebrush Penstemon (Native)

Perennial forb, 2 – 3 ft. tall, with bluish-purple flowers that bloom in the early summer. Occurs on mid to low elevation, semi-arid lands, on dry open or sparsely covered slopes in the big sagebrush, P/J or ponderosa habitats in the Great Basin. Valuable forb for restoration of disturbed lands including sage grouse habitat. Plant in fall ΒΌ inch deep.
