Perennial, ½ – 2 ft. tall, variable, cool-season, bunchgrass. Best adapted to deep, medium to moderately fine soil textures. Widely distributed throughout the west on rolling hills, foot slopes and mountain valleys from 4,000 – 12,000 ft. elev. Palatable forage. Used for reclamation, range improvement and ornamentals. Minimum precip. is 12 – 14 inches. Plant fall or spring ¼ – ½ inch deep. 2,300,000 seeds/lb.
