Perennial, 1 – 2 ft. tall, densely-tufted, cool-season grass adapted to alpine or sub- alpine sites in the west. Grows on moist, medium to fine textured soils. Good palatability for wildlife and livestock. Used for restoration of high elevation sites. Plant spring or fall ¼ inch deep. 1,100,000 seeds/lb.
