Perennial, 1 – 2½ ft. tall, bunchgrass, adapted to sandy to sandy-loam soils and stony, gravely soils. Very low moisture requirements, drought and heat-tolerant. Poor to fair forage for wildlife and livestock. Grows from low to mid elevations. Very competitive. Used for disturbed soil revegetation on adapted sites. Plant spring or fall ¼ inch deep. 450,000 seeds/lb.
