Short, 1 – 1½ ft. perennial, deciduous, sub-shrub found in UT, AZ, CO, NM, and TX. Low moisture requirement, drought-tolerant, adapted to medium texture and alkaline soils. Found from 4,000 – 6,000 ft. elevation in salt-desert and P/J habitats. Good forage and habitat. Used for revegetation of adapted sites. Plant in fall ¼ – ½ inch deep. 150,000 seeds/lb.
