Small-winged Sedge (Native)
Perennial, fine textured, densely tufted bunchgrass-like sedge species usually 1-2 ft. tall. Grows on medium to coarse texture moist soils and is less moisture dependant than most sedges. One of the most common sedges in the west, growing from 5,000 to 10,000 ft. elevation in open areas, moderately palatable to wildlife and livestock. Used for disturbed land restoration. Plant in fall ¼ – ½ inch deep. 750,000 seeds/lb.
