Perennial, 2 – 4 ft. tall with large showy rays of purple flowers that bloom in the fall. Grows well on all soil textures. Is very drought-tolerant. Found in the upper elevations of the desert southwest. Utilized by livestock and wildlife. Plant fall or spring ¼ inch deep or less. 70,000 seeds/lb.
