Watson’s Penstemon (Native)
Perennial, common penstemon species found native throughout the Intermountain Region of the western US from 3,000 – 10,000 ft. elevation in various habitats. Blooms in early summer with bright, showy, blue-violet flowers. Does best on well-drained medium-textured soils but found on fine and coarser rocky, gravelly soils. Likes full to partial sun and has low to moderate water requirements. Provides good forage and habitat for a number of species of wildlife. Good pollinator species. Valuable species for wildflower plantings and land restoration projects. Plant in fall ¼ inch or less deep. 850,000 seeds/lb.
