Perennial, 2 – 4 ft. tall. Blooms in late spring with bright red-orange flowers. Adapted to Southwest deserts. Valuable species for restoration of southwest desert areas. Provides good habitat for some wildlife species. Drought-tolerant. Likes full-sunlight. Plant in fall ¼ – ½ inch deep. 500,000 seeds/lb.
