Annual, 3 – 6 ft. tall. Blooms in summer with yellow flowers. Adapted to most of US. Grows wild on foothills, roadsides, fields and disturbed sites. Seeds are excellent natural bird and small mammal food. Good pollinator species. Drought-tolerant. Likes full-sunlight. Plant fall or spring ½ – ¾ inch deep. 58,000 seeds/lb.
