Perennial, 2 – 4 ft. tall. Blooms in early summer with bright scarlet-red or pinkish flowers. Does best on dry, rocky, medium to coarse textured soils. Likes full sun and has low water requirements. Native to south western area of the US. Used in wildflower mixes. Plant in fall ¼ inch deep. 500,000 seeds/lb.
